NIS AGRICULTURE Project.

Newton International School offers Agriculture as a practical subject. It is taken by all students from Form 1 to Form 2. The Form 3, 4 and 5 take it as an optional subject. The subject is taught both theoretically and practically at the school. The school has a school garden where practical lessons and IGCSE agricultural projects are carried out. The students also grow crops such as spinach, cabbage, onions, maize, cow peas, tomatoes and okra in the school garden. Over the years, the performance of the students in the agriculture IGCSE examinations have been very good. Last year, the department obtained 100% pass rate in the IGCSE examinations.
